More than a working space…
Limbe Labs is a unique community / collaboration space in Cameroon for startups, freelancers, designers, entrepreneurs (esp. internet entrepreneurs) and independent thinkers. Limbe Labs provides not only a great space to work but also opportunities to interact with other like-minded individuals.
We’re interested in contributing to the growth of an indigenous, high-tech startup community here in Cameroon. We think the best way to do this is to bring people with unique capabilities together in an environment that helps them do what they do best. We try to create a culture that fosters collaboration and idea sharing, that generates great learning experience for everyone, as well as opportunities for people with complementary skills and experience to work together for the benefit of their clients.
Do you have big ideas for a startup but find it difficult to get loans, attract investors and promote your new business? We’ve spoken with many entrepreneurs who’ve found that bank loans were simply unavailable or local investors demanded absurdly high equity stakes in their businesses—at times as much as 50-75%. In response to this, we’ve established the Limbe Labs Ventures “un-incubator”—a micro-VC investment fund and business advisory for pre-revenue companies in Central and West Africa.
